Jamie Rudman

Jamie Rudman has more than twenty years of experience representing management in labor and employment matters.  She defends employers, executives and supervisors in state and federal lawsuits filed by current and former employees for wrongful termination, sexual harassment, discrimination, wage and contract disputes, and employment-related torts.  In addition, Ms. Rudman has represented employers before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, National Labor Relations Board, California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, Division of Labor Standards and Enforcement and Cal-OSHA.

Ms. Rudman advises employers on the full range of labor and employment issues.  In labor matters, she works with employers to address organizing campaigns, strikes and protests, unfair labor practice charges and arbitration under collective bargaining agreements. In employment matters, Ms. Rudman provides counsel on all aspects of human resources management, including discipline and termination, leaves of absence, layoffs, wage and hour requirements, employee classification, discrimination, commission plans, employment contracts, and employee policies. She also trains supervisors and management on a variety of issues, such as implementation of new personnel policies, sexual harassment, diversity, leaves of absence, opposing union organizing activity, workplace safety and employee privacy rights.  Ms. Rudman also conducts and advises on sensitive workplace investigations.

A 1993 graduate of UCLA Law School, Ms. Rudman received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy of Industrialized Societies, with University Honors, from UC Berkeley in 1990.  Ms. Rudman is frequently asked to speak on employment, leave of absence, and wage and hour issues.  She serves on the Board of Directors of JVS Los Angeles, which provides career development and job placement services for low income residents.

Ms. Rudman serves as Co-Chair of the Employment Litigation and Counseling Team of Sanchez & Amador and manages the firm's Northern California office. Prior to joining Sanchez & Amador, Ms. Rudman was a Senior Attorney with Simpson, Garrity, Innes & Jacuzzi, and previously was associated with Katten Muchin & Zavis and Buchalter, Nemer, Fields & Younger.  Ms. Rudman handles matters in both Northern and Southern California courthouses.
