Nicole M. Torrado

Nicole M. Torrado handles employment and general business litigation matters in State and Federal Courts throughout California. Nicole has taken fifteen cases to trial, drafted more than twenty-five appellate briefs and argued three cases on appeal. Fluent in Spanish, Nicole is particularly adept at interviewing Spanish-speaking witnesses.

Prior to joining Sanchez & Amador, Nicole was an attorney with the national employment firm, Seyfarth Shaw, in San Francisco. Admitted to the California bar in 2012, Nicole has been admitted to practice law in Illinois since 2004. She served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office in Chicago from 2004-2011, with her most recent posting in the Civil Actions Bureau. Before law school, Nicole worked as an analyst for Accenture, LLC, supporting Fortune 500 clients in use of the PeopleSoft Financial Application.

Nicole received her J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law in May 2004. While at Loyola of Chicago, she was Managing Editor of the Children’s Legal Rights Journal and made Dean’s List in three of her six semesters. She received her B.A. in History and Computer Applications from the University of Notre Dame in 1999. After graduation from Notre Dame, Nicole served nearly a year as a resident volunteer at the Hogar San Jose Orphanage in Talagante, Chile, where she coordinated fundraising and developed, then implemented, a computer education program for the children.

Nicole is admitted to practice in all courts of the State of California and the State of Illinois, as well as in the Northern District of California and Northern District of Illinois. She is a member of the California Bar Association and the Labor & Employment Section of the Alameda County Bar Association. She volunteers as pro bono counsel with the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay. Nicole handles matters for Sanchez & Amador clients throughout Northern, Central and Southern California, and operates from the firm’s Oakland office.
