Banking and Finance Transactions

Amr Jayousi advises banks and commercial lenders on a broad range of debt-financing corporate transactions. He handles a wide range of financing models and structures, including secured and unsecured lending, syndicated and bilateral loans, and bridge and mezzanine financings, and he is experienced in debt transactions in various contexts including acquisition finance, project finance, and cross-border and leveraged lending transactions.

Mr. Jayousi adds to the firm’s extensive big law experience, having begun his career in Vinson & Elkins LLP, a major international law firm headquartered in Houston, Texas. At Vinson & Elkins he was a member of the finance group, and advised corporate lenders and borrowers in the oil & gas and broader energy field. He continued his career at White & Case LLP, one of the leading global law firms, where he gained experience in highly complex financing transactions and global project-based and syndicated lending.

While at White & Case, Mr. Jayousi also advised underwriters and issuers in securities transactions, and represented stakeholders in IPOs, follow-on offerings as well as SPAC-structure transactions.

Mr. Jayousi received his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. He is a native Arabic speaker having grown up in Palestine, and also speaks fluent Spanish in addition to English. He is a published author, and prior to law school he was a diplomat for a foreign embassy in Washington, DC, and was also the student president of his undergraduate university.  Mr. Jayousi is a member of the Texas State Bar and the New York State Bar.
