David Sanchez has handled commercial and private bank lending transactions and other corporate and securities transactional matters for over thirty-six years. His experience includes working capital facilities, asset-based lending, letter of credit facilities, complex life insurance premium finance transactions, intercreditor agreements, commercial real estate loans, loans secured by Rule 144 securities and other investment property collateral, intellectual property-secured transactions, cross-border transactions, business acquisitions and sales, private placements, public offerings and other securities matters, and general corporate matters.
Mr. Sanchez formerly practiced with the Wall Street firm of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, where he handled securities, finance and M&A matters, and with the Corporate and Finance Group of Buchalter, in Los Angeles. He also served as in-house counsel in Wells Fargo Bank’s Legal Department on special assignment. Mr. Sanchez is a 1987 graduate of Stanford Law School and received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in 1984.
Mr. Sanchez served for three years on the California State Bar’s UCC Committee and for several years on the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Commercial Law Committee. As a member of the State Bar’s Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies Committee, Mr. Sanchez drafted revisions to the California Corporations Code concerning business mergers and conversions. He also served on the drafting committee for the State Bar’s “Report on Legal Opinions Regarding California Limited Liability Companies.” Mr. Sanchez has taught seminars and university classes on business law topics, including business acquisitions and corporate finance, and has published articles regarding finance and securities law matters.
